I have the exact same problem as Oria Xu. If you look at his screenshots its the same for me. I just got a new 1TB SSD and did a fresh install of windows 10. I've finishing installing all the programs I want and setting things up so I'm not about to do it again so I guess I'm out of luck and I'm forced to use programs I don't want to use. I really hate windows 10 and next time I reinstall I will be going back to windows 7 unless windows 11 is out by then. I'm sure a windows 11 would be even more horrible though.

Hello Tony, and welcome to Ten Forums.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe some folks were having issues in 1803 and default apps.

This should be sorted in 1809 when it gets re-released.

    Hey Brink,

I got my lovely old Windows Photo Viewer back on my brand new VivoBook S14 1803 with the reg file

I went for the current user option as it looked like less reg edits

I am a bloke but if I were a woman I would want to have your babies!

Wow I feel dumb for not trying this before. But I did the undo for all users to restore it back to normal and then tried the current user option after reading mojorising's post. Then I was able to set windows photo viewer as the default. So if in the future anyone has the same problem as me or Oria Xu please let them know to try the same thing. Thank you for your help.

    Hi Brink,

I signed up to say thank you! I appreciate your work. And I have a quick question if anyone has the answer.

The Photo Viewer is using the original Windows blue theme for the bottom bar. However, while looking at a photo, if I click on the start menu, the bottom bar turns black, which matches my current Windows 10 theme.

How do I get it to stay with my current black theme? Please and thank you.

    Jucal
