I just want to know if the .REG files are safe to apply and if it will work and NOT break my computer like the last webpage I went to?
    Hello,

The ,reg files in option 5 apply the same group policy in option 4.

It shouldn't cause any issues, but you can always use step 2 in option 7 to undo it if you do have any undesired side effects.

Hello Brink, I want to stop win10 pro version 2004 (OS Bld 19041.746 to stop showing the pretty picture and upon clicking requiring me to click sign in. I have not set a password for this local account. I tried your Disable_require_password_on_wakeup reg file to no avail. Is there a way to remove whatever settings were merged since they have no effect? I suspect there is enough useless info in the registry as it is! My own fault for merging btw no blame intended.
    Thank you

    Hello Donn,
This will only affect as wakeup.

You can use option 1 below to set up netplwiz to automatically sign in to your account at startup.

    netplwiz

Tried Netplwiz but it seems I need to have set up my account w/ a password -there are no options for me in this netplwiz except click on empty box "users must enter a user name..... etc" I did follow your instructions on how to not require sign in upon wake-up. Works perfectly. It makes no sense that when I boot up, I am not asked to sign in as I WAS upon wake-up. Go figure! Thank you very much. I guess the merge of the downloaded reg file (Disable_require_password_on_wakeup.reg) did no harm even tho it did no help either!
