Change Mic input to speaker output on win10 home

Hi there, ive been trying to change my mic input to my sound output for days now because i seemed to have ruined my input port on my HP Pavillion g6 therefor, am unable to get any sound through my speakers that plug into it. is there a way to use the other port as an output to save me having to take the system apart to solder a new input connector on?
Thinking i may need to go into BIOS because i cant seen to find an option to change the jacks in win.
    Many thanks in advance.

The model HP Pavillion g6 isn't complete, more numbers to it on the label on the bottom, like my G6 has. The Computer Type in your My Computer shows a PC/Desktop but that should be a Notebook/Laptop.

Generally it may work on much newer machines for the audio port to be a combination of both Input and Output but on mine they are separate and an Output port generally doesn't work/get recognized the same as an Input port.

A usb sound card might be a workaround.
