Inspiron 15 5577 No Audio Output Device is installed Windows 10 1903

So I used to use Windows 1803 and one day I got this issue out of nowhere where my audio stopped working, my Realtek audio driver disappeared from device manager and I got that message above my volume mixer icon. After some research most people as well as those who had the same problem said that it was due to a windows update. I did not know what to do but the problem went away after a few days. Some time later I updated to 1809 and the same issue came back a few days ago. I tried to update to 1903 but the issue persists. I cannot rollback to 1803 and my realtek audio driver keeps getting automatically uninstalled upon rebooting even when i reinstall it. Some people said updating an Intel SST driver fixed the problem for them, however I do not have this driver in the first place. Please what can I do?

Hi, noted your system is listed as compatible with and supported for Win 10.
    https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk...laptop/drivers

    Drivers:
    https://www.dell.com/support/home/uk...laptop/drivers
    Realtek is noted as 'urgent'.
Is this the driver you have tried installing?

There is an extensive thread on this issue here:
How to stop Windows 10 automatically installing Realtek audio drivers?

Please work through that, note what you've tried, and post back listing what you've tried if still no success.

There are two types of Realtek driver (HDA and Audio Console/UAD), as you may already know and as you'll see from this thread:
Determine the HDA Realtek driver needed for your Audio
Realtek Audio Console REQUIRES a Realtek HD (UAD) Driver!!

You also need to check which Windows 10 versions have been tested on your model - https://www.dell.com/support/article...ows-10?lang=en

I have an Inspiron 15, 5577 laptop. Dell sold this model as a gaming laptop but I use mine in my recording studio.
I have 1903 installed, with the Dell Realtek driver and no problems.

As you have had problems with an older Win 10 version, It would appear to be something other than the Windows version causing the problems.

First thing to do is update the PC with the Dell drivers. The Dell "Support Assist" although buggy should be used to update whatever needed drivers, EXCEPT BIOS (DO NOT use the Support Assist for BIOS as we have seen issues with this on the Dell support forums).

The next thing to look at is what other applications you are using as one of those may be causing the problems. My 5577 is basically the same way it came from Dell (other than Win 10 version updates).
