Hey Ppl! :)
am using pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic Driver ver 6.0.8787.1 and it sounding Amazing! and it's working nicely whit
Windows 10 /1909 Update!
are there even better drivers under the 6.0.8824.1 out there? or are the 8787 still the golden one?
Thx! :)
Hello folks,
A few days ago I noticed that the audio on my PC seems weaker and also gets distorted and scratchy-sounding especially in games. Rebooting seems to fix the problem temporarily. I am not sure if this was due to the 1909 update or the latest driver for my B450M board from MSI's site, Realtek HD Universal Driver Version 6.0.8794.1. Wondering if there's a fix or if I should wait for the next driver that MSI uploads.
" are there even better drivers under the 6.0.8824.1 ? "...................dont think so , tried them all , costed me a lot of time , but 8824.1 , for me , the best !
Even all the github generics have the 8824.1 files included , tried the 8831.1 ASUS_ROG ( from Cliff ) also , did not work on my rig.
So , now on 8824.1 UAD , Dolby/DTS enabled , together with FxSound Enhancer..........can not find anything better ( untill now )
Since you already have the official MSI realtek UAD driver installed (with the realtek audio console app), you can now download newer UAD drivers from Microsoft Update Catalog (and install via device manager).
Search MUC for realtek 1903 media for 8809 uad driver. Search realtek 1903 for the realtek software components (just download 11.0.6000.199) and update all THREE of the realtek software components in device manager.
I downloaded pal1000's latest release from here Releases . pal1000/Realtek-UAD-generic . GitHub and so far it seems okay. Will keep an ear on it

Ugh, sound issues still persist. Gets very muffled and scratchy/distorted after a while. I think Microsoft ruined something with the recent 1909 update or something else

3D positional sound problems come down to whether the OS properly tell the game how many channels it has and how games properly use that OS information. Microsoft had to reverse this feature several months ago because some games are not updated and caused problems.
Microsoft suggests fixes for Windows 10 1903 game audio problems caused by KB4515384
So it is basically that some game developers want this feature and are ready for it --- and requested Microsoft to implement it. Then other game developers are not ready for it and requested Microsoft to halt this feature update.
Then there are end-user usage problems where people are using multiple sound equalization tools and making the sound worse and worse.
So far I haven't seen any news report on sound problems on 1909. My advice is to go back to the basics: update the games, update the drivers, update the OS, then turn off every single sound enhancements and trouble shoot.
I'm trying out pal1000's generic UAD version 8844.1 and so far I'm finding it far better than build 8843.1. The powerful bass is there but the overall sound is much better balanced.
For me it's up there with the best
