You can roll your own driver update using my tutorial in the sticky. Johngalt has a MSI Nahimic computer and updated his Realtek driver and Nahimic software components and app using my method. MUC updates will be a month behind mokichu's releases.

Hi guys, I've got a Maximus XII Extreme motherboard (Realtek S1220). I downloaded and installed latest UAD drivers (6.0.9013.1 WHQL, tried also second to last 6.0.9908.1) from ROG forum following the clean-up and install procedure indicated there. I don't know if it is an issue or not, but basically Realtek Audio Console automatically switches amplify level regardless of what I set manually, following impedance sensor detections.
I'd like to have "Performance" active for my speakers and "Extreme" for my headphones, but what I get is exactly the opposite, because the impedance slider lowers when my headphones are plugged in and goes up when I unplug them. Shouldn't user set values be memorized by the Console or is it supposed to work that way? Are there older drivers I can try (maybe HDA if possible)?

Hi, can you reupload this driver? It was official or modded driver? Cuz i downloaded ver. 8895 from official dell site, file size from dell was 467.62 MB and after install this file i feel like the sound sounds worse.

I tried out the ASUS UAD v6.0.8971.1 drivers from my motherboard's driver webpage...
it however did NOT install all the software components and the back-end for the Realtek Audio Console app...
so I went back to the generic ASUS UAD driver v6.0.8971.1 from Station-Drivers driver website.. which is where I get drvier updates from some times..
www.station-drivers.com -- Realtek High Definiton Audio (HDA/UAD) -- Drivers (UAD) -- Asus
this is just a FYI... in-case anyone was having issues...or need a reputable site to get drivers from..
best is usually the manufacturer site but in this case it was not working out well...

Speaker out in the rear jacks are "line level" and have higher impedance (and hotter) than headphone out in the front panel.
Quote:
"A line level signal can drive most headphones to very loud levels. Be alert to excessive sound pressure levels when using this procedure to test the audio quality of a line level signal."

hhhmmm....... before 8996.1 show up, i use 8895.1 very long..
in my system and my laptop.. 8895.1 is very nice sound and balance..
i use 8895.1 source UAD from MUC and HDA from alanfox and both is no problem..
maybe your headset, or equalizer, or enhancements settings something went wrong..

I updated over my install of v6.0.8971.1 with v6.0.9013.1 using MoKiChU's ASUS UAD driver update process..
everything seems to be running fine... be-warned it forces an automatic restart.. so save all open docs and close all running apps before running install.cmd
