Your motherboard comes with 8666 UAD driver.

The most painless method to update your motherboard's realtek audio driver is to download it from Microsoft Update Catalog. Search realtek 1903 media for the 8849 driver, download it, unzip it and update via device manager. Search realtek 1903 for the 11.0.6000.736 software component, download it, unzip it and update ALL THREE software components (audio effects, universal service and hardware support) via device manager. After that, run Microsoft Store to update the realtek audio console app to 1.8.204.0.

You are basically on a 6 week ROLLING delay behind the bleeding edge (right now it's more like 8 weeks because of xmas holidays). Every couple of weeks, new drivers appear on the the microsoft update catalog. Next week, you are going to see 8858 driver and 1.9.205.0 app on the MUC. Two weeks after that, you are going to see 8868 driver and 1.9.209.0 app.

Zero hassle.

I used to update , compare with previous, backup the drivers, etc, etc,.........
I decided to stop with this nonsense , staying with ( good old ?) 8648 Realtek UAD , imo still (!) one of the very best !!!
Besides , its not bloated , and very stable .........awsome punchy sound also !

People hearing differences in sound --- that's placebo effect. There is also a possibility that they are really hearing differences in different drivers because they grab a driver from a different source that activates bass boost when their own driver didn't have that (and they used a third party bass boost equalizer). So now they suddenly have double bass boost which muddle the sound.

The vast majority of the updates are related to bug fixes to power management. The driver needs to put the audio chipset into sleep --- YET half listens to keywords for Cortana and Alexa --- and wakes up the audio chipset fully after hearing you activating Cortana.

This is stuff that audio chipsets had never had to do in the past.

Try 8648 ........you will be amazed !
