You are better off looking by HW id.

Got a new hard drive, re-installing windows 10 to the latest version. Want to make sure I get the latest and greatest drivers for my Realtek audio device (intel board).
I have been previously using HDA drivers, most recent one was v8591. I've gone through and read these forums, including the tutorial links.
Using the Realtek PowerShell script, I am told that I have no "special" integrations, although when I use the manual method, I do find "IntelSSTAPO.dll" and "IntelSstCApoPropPage.dll" files that would seem to indicate I should be using the FF0C driver type. So should I be seeking out FF0C drivers, or go with FF00 because that is what the PowerShell script recommended?
In any case, I seem to be perpetually confused whenever I visit this site. Everything explained here seems to often go over my head. "It's all Greek to me!"
Is there a simple tutorial, or just a simple recommendation on whether or not I should continue using the HDA drivers, or move to the UAD drivers?
As I understand it, the UAD drivers are to be used with a Windows Store app called Realtek Audio Control which puts my audio managing into the control of Windows, as opposed to my Realtek HD Audio Manager, is that correct?
Apart from file size, is there really any advantage to this? I'm used to the Realtek Audio Manager, so is there a reason to change?
It appears the most recent HDA driver available is from April 30 (v8694), but I'm seeing people discuss 8734 and 8742. Has the link on the first page just not been updated yet, or are those drivers not determined to be stable yet?

If this output comes from a driver you installed from the Manufacturer's Support site, then you should be using the FF00 - no integration (Generic) drivers, as it cannot be determined which integration you have (if you have one, and your board's manufacturer doesn't just add driver files into your PC, just to have them!)
Yes the driver is from the Manufacturer's support site. My problem now is which UAD version to pick and what audio console or manager works.

8703.1 is the latest FF10 HDA driver, YoTips. Realtek is not making any newer FF06/FF10/FF0C versions at this time.
Thanks for the reply to this post.

Is my motherboard using the FF10 HDA drivers? I'm a bit lost/confused.

Link to motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5
    Z370 AORUS Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global

I extracted that link you sent me for 8703.1 and wow I didn't know it would extract to over 5GB, that was some good compression.

Anyways, I installed the folder that said
    8703_FF10_PG472_Win10_RS3_RS4_RS5_19H1_Win7_WHQL - 700MB

Did I install the correct sound driver for Windows 10 v1903 May update 2019 or is this incorrect? I know you mentioned something about Creative BlasterX Pro Gaming 720 on my motherboard. Should I make the switch to UAD instead or install the FF10 version of the HDA driver you posted?

Also, should I bother installing Creative BlasterX Pro Gaming 720 from Gigabyte? The website lists 2 versions and I dont know what to install.

ProTip: Use any archive extractor *other than the one in Windows* to extract only the folder you want out of that massive archive next time - and at the rate Realtek updates their drivers, there will most likely be a next time - and another next time, and then again another next time, and many more next times after that as well.

For example, I use 7-ZIp, open the archive, select the folder I want and extract it only. Not only does it save space, but it also reduces wear on modern SSDs.

I just found this tread today, did not realize a new one had been started.

With my RealTek HD onboard, I've always had to use the FF00 - I'll peruse the thread later for recommendations. My drivers were replaced by the Insider Preview (Skippy) build I just installed. But am I able to install anything as long as it is non UAD and FF00, based upon my Skippy build 18932, or am I limited to a particular version?

    TIA

Yeah, windows unarchiver can be weird. it just won't open some .rar files or shows them as empty. Reputable companies like Realtek should use self-unarchiving,.exe files like AMD does.

6.0.1.8648 or 6.0.8734.1 (which one is the best, depends on your ears and system setup)
