No Sound after Win 10 update KB4487017 killed it.

HP Pavilion, Windows 10 Home 1803 64 bit.
Uninstalled KB4487017 and turned off Automatic updates
    Speakers: Suster SP-692
    Digital Audio (S/PDIF) volume100%
AMD High Definition Audio Device: (uninstalled/reinstalled/updated)
    High Definition Audio Device: (uninstalled/reinstalled/updated)
Many soft and hard boots of computer.
Cleaned temp files etc. and logs.
Troubleshooter: ran every test I could, including Audio. - "failed to play test tone" comes up.
Speakers Are plugged in. I know they work.
4 -5 days I've been working on this and I am now really thinking WTF Is IT?
I've been told to come to this site by Maiku Tech and to show you the Thread, but I don't know the mechanics of doing this. "show them this thread"
I am so tired of trying to fix this sound problem, I am contemplating buying a new computer - most likely an Apple, just so Windows Updates stop wrecking my computer. And they do!

Those seem to be analog speakers. Do you happen to know which CoDec (sound) chip is in that computer ? (Realtek or instance).
For analog speakers only "High Definition Audio Device" applies, "Speakers" should be set as Default output device, others should be disabled.
Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (digital) is just for speakers connected by that connector.
AMD High Definition Audio Device is sound thru graphic card to monitor or TV with speakers only, also digital sound.

There was an entry somewhere: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. Sometimes I find it, sometimes I don't. When I use "Speakers" (high Definition Audio Device) as opposed to "Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio Device), it kills the Movies&TV App.
Now here"s the thing: When I used to get this audio problem, I had a Fix that worked. Here it is below.
    1. Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager
    2. Select Driver tab
    3. Click Update Driver ... button
    4. Select ... Browse my computer for driver software
    5. Select ... Let me pickup a list of device drivers on my computer
    6. Select High Definition Audio Device (Not IDT High Def ...this is important.)
    and click Next.
Appears Warning message, but reply Yes.
    7. Windows has successfully updated your driver software

Now I don't know Where I got this from, it's a long time ago, but Credence and thanks to the person who wrote it. It worked Every Time!
    Except Now.
But these new windows updates are becoming increasingly problematic and I suggest that they really should "Dogfood" it.
