You lost me Jose... what's in that cigar you are smokin' ?

I just said going fwd it will be hard to maintain... capiche?
You said you would like to see it re imaged which is not necessary as it has not been updated in well over a year and it works just fine as is thru RS5-- I do not smoke but I would have to ask you the same? You been hangin with Willie

    Your words:
"Hmmm sorry (from me) ... I would like to see it "re-imagined" but there is too much MS migration to UWP and loss of calling functions - makes it impossible to maintain. "

I don't really believe that. I find a minor maintenance is all it needs. So far with all the W10 updates it has not broken at all. Matter of fact the other start menu replacements that cost money like Start10 that are more updated crash and freeze all the time.
I have never, ever had a problem with Start 10 and I've been using it since Windows 8 was first in Beta. Course I've not had a single problem with Classic Shell at work either :)

Ummm, Josey, I think there's just a tad bit of difference between what you're saying and what Superfly said . . . note the bolded words.

This: Microsoft to acquire GitHub for $7.5 billion - Windows 10 Forums might help - or kill Classic Shell Start Meun... I believe some of the people at GitHub have previously been looking at trying to continue Classic Shell Start Menu. Classic Shell View topic - Classic Shell no longer in development. Source code released

I saw that MS might acquire GitHub on TV this morning. That said, I tried Classic Shell and a couple others, but gave up on 'em. I'm fine with Windows 10's Start Menu.

Notice that he said that there is too much migration to UWP and loss of Calling functions--This I do not buy as it "Classic Shell" works just fine in RS4 and RS5. @JohnBurns Classic Shell is not on GitHub it is open sourced and anyone can take it on -located at Classic Shell download | SourceForge.net...

I was only pointing out the difference in words used; nothing more.

The Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 , CS does not only change the Start Menu and whatever is done by the MS acquisition of Github has no effect on CS. MS may try to force all of them out. I do not really care at this point. I do not believe my PC will handle RS6 or whatever they call it.

I'll just run it till it don't run no more. 8-compatibility if I can, and when that croaks, I'll just poke at it with my cane till that breaks, and then...who will care!

As I've said before, I gave up on Classic Shell and its relatives years ago. Further, the only thing I've said about GitHub was a reply to JohnBurns that I'd seen a reference to Microsoft buying it out on TV this morning.

At this point, I cannot fathom what you're trying to prove to me . . .
