Is there some way to completely uninstall Co-pilot?

    Just booted up.

Saw new Co-pilot preview button on the far right end of the task bar.
Easily figured out how not to display it.

Next: Is there some way to completely uninstall Co-pilot? (preview or whatever else is coming) ?

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, you cannot uninstall Copilot currently.
You can disable it Add or Remove Copilot Button on Taskbar in Windows 10

    This works for me:

Completely Disable and Remove Copilot in Windows 11 Tutorial | Windows 11 Forum

However make a note of it so that you can undo the changes at any point if you need to.

Unfortunately, this tutorial only disables Copilot so it doesn't show up.

I'll go with disabling it via the registry file at your link to the 11 forum.
Also downloading the undo file just in case.

    Thank you.

It's part of the operating system and attempting to totally remove it will likely break things and would likely cause issue with installation of cumulative updates/ MS Edge updates.

So it's best to disable it.

As long as I never see it again, I'm good.

It could be that it reappears after an update but who knows?

Best to just get used to the idea that if you install Windows, you relinquish your rights to your computer.

Reinstall your Windows 10, do not connect to the internet. Remove all instances of "auto-update" and "edge update" from File Explorer and Regedit, then delete the auto-update task from Task Scheduler. Now, connect to the internet. Your Edge will be returned to its pre-co-pilot state and Microsoft will be unable to change it unexpectedly.
