    Notification when computer is down

I am looking for some kind of software that will notify me via email/text/push notification that when my computer becomes unresponsive (BSOD, loses internet, freezes) that I'll be notified. My only thinking is to have some kind of outside source like another website ping my computer every so often and when it cannot be pinged a notification would then be sent stating the computer is down. And it would continue to ping on a set interval until the ping was successful and then would send another notification that the computer is back up. I am looking for a permanent setup.

How do you guys get notified when your computer is down? Thanks!

AIDA64 monitors pretty much everything on your comp.
You can have that info sent to your mobile phone.
I don't know if it's the best solution... but it is a solution.

You can read about it here...

Thank you for this. I had looked at AIDA64 but I couldn't find a feature that would notify when computer was down. I will look into it again and see If I missed something.

I found a website called Free Uptime Monitor & Blacklist Monitor- HetrixTools that claims to do what I am asking for free. Thanks!

As far as I know it doesn't have a feature like that. BUT... if the computer was down, things like the CPU fan speed would be zero. I was thinking maybe you can do something with that. If not, you'll still be able to "check" the monitor and SEE what the CPU fan speed is... or something like that.

I don't have a mobile phone to test with, but if you can put an On Screen Display on the mobile phone, (maybe on the front screen, all you'd have to do is look at the phone.
