I see no benefit to use pdf reader at all, all that reader provides you can do in browser as well, and it's even more convenient to use browser for ex. if you want to switch to search engine to search for something in text you don't need to use taskbar to switch programs.

Please read the thread to find information about the Advanced search capabilities that many pdf readers have but no browsers have.

OK, you have a point, I don't recall ever using adv. search in pdf reader, CTRL + F has always been more than enough for me.
But I dream of a day when web browsers will support regex to search site, don't know why no browser producer come to that idea yet.

What you've posted is correct.
But I hope you don't think that's all that pdf reader Advanced search capabilities can do.
Pdf reader Advanced search will list the pdf documents in which the search term is found and provide a link to each occurrence within those documents. Foxit Reader advanced search - TenForums
