Microsoft store- Error Code: 0x80131500 CV: c/Dullv9OUyy1C0k

    Hi all,

Been a while since I've posted in here but I have an issue again...

When trying to open the Microsoft Store I get the above mentioned errors.

I've spent a couple of hours signing out, uninstalling and reinstalling, fixing folder ownership and trying everything that google has to offer on this repair to no avail.

I'm not sure what system specs you might need but I did run Windows10Debloater way back when and quite possibly took some authority away from the Store? I've tried reverting the Debloater as well without luck.

    Win 10 Pro
    21H2

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to download Sea of Thieves (that I already purchased) and with the Store inop I'm thinking this is the reason.

Hi, you could try one of the tenforums Tutorials from the searchable Tutorial section... do have a look...

    I found these for you:
Re-register Microsoft Store app in Windows 10
How to Clear and Reset Microsoft Store Cache in Windows 10
Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter in Windows 10

I'm not sure what system specs you might need
    - the forum clearly prompted you thus:
Microsoft store- Error Code: 0x80131500 CV: c/Dullv9OUyy1C0k-win-10-version.png

Finally, you can perform an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data for which you need a Win 10 iso file of the same major build as you have now - freely downloadable (Tutorials available).

I have done all above mentioned steps other than the in-place repair install. Looks like that is my only option at this point.

It's pretty routine. Get iso file with media creation tool, ensure at least 30Gb free on C:, rt click it, click mount, open drive letter created, run setup.exe.

As ever appropriate backup before any major change e.g. a current 3rd party disk image.

N.B. the routine and regular use of disk imaging is endlessly recommended here- so when something goes badly wrong you always have a chance to restore to a previous good working state- even potentially to a new PC.

After a bunch of fiddling I finally got Microsoft Store to open and load information without an error!

The only issue is I was trying to get "the Store" to load so I could download and install a Microsoft game (Sea of Thieves) to play with my nephew however it seems the game will not download. I see it in "My Library" as Purchased on 9/4/2022 however when I click the "Install" button it disappears, then reappears a few seconds later and no activity.

Searches and suggestions found elsewhere have not been much help. Is the repair strategy still to do the in-place repair?

    Thanks

That's the simplest thing to try. What happens is pretty much identical to any major build upgrade except you have to start it off as described.

Once again, the usual caveat: if you don't see the same problem if you create a new user, log in as that user and try... well, that means the problem is specific to your user profile, and a general Windows repair is unlikely to help.

This is why members endlessly recommend the routine use of 3rd party disk imaging and System Restore so you've a chance of correcting recent problems conveniently and quickly.
