Windows tries to load deleted program at startup

This is a slightly annoying problem but every time that I startup windows 10 it tries to load Asus Ai Suite 3 but I uninstalled that program a while back and windows always gives errors when it tries to load ai suite.

I have gone through to the best of my ability the programs that are supposed to load on startup and ai suite is not listed among them and I have gone through Add Remove programs and it is not listed there anymore either.

I'm guessing maybe another program is trying to load ai suite but I have no idea what it is. I have also noticed that windows always loads more programs at startup than what it says will load when I look at the list of startup programs. So it is obviously not a complete list. For example keybot loads automatically but is not even on the list of startup apps nor is MAGIX Pcmaintain Service and those both startup automatically.

Does anyone have any idea how to stop it from trying to load the program?

    Thanks in Advance!

You have not said what checks you have done so might already have tried these:-
    - "%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
    - "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"
    - MS SysInternals Autoruns

    Best of luck,

How was it uninstalled? Sometimes the default program uninstaller doesn't do a very clean job (often deliberately intended by the software manufacturer/distributor !!).

Best way : re-install the program, then use RevoUninstaller (freeware version) or Geek Uninstaller (free) and make sure you use the advanced option to remove all the leftover files, folders and registry entries. Don't re-boot until all the processes and options have been finalised.

Hello PsiSoldier, and welcome to Ten Forums.

You might double check all the different startup app locations below to see if the app may still be listed in one of them. If so, you can disable or delete the app from the startup list.

ASUS AiSuite is usually installed with a Windows task that is scheduled to run AiSuite at logon of any user.
See if the task is still there. Launch the Task Scheduler and look at the Task Scheduler Library. There may still be a subfolder named "ASUS". If so, the task that tries to launch AiSuite is probably still in there.

In the future, get the program autoruns.exe or autoruns64.exe
It will show you most or all of what is autorun at startup. Including AiSuite. I have AiSuite on my own PC.
