Thanks for the input. I ran it and deleted a couple of blank programs, but the phantom "Program" still shows in the Startup. Perhaps, it might disappear after reboot or disk cleanup.
    Thanks any way.

Did you add the Command line display as Callender demonstrated? I found it a slight bit fiddly to enable but invaluable for the info it supplied. I had disabled these 2 items identified as "Program" in my start menu and forgotten to pursue it. Thanks for the reminder.

PS; Adding the Command line detail to the Task Manager enabled me to determine the source of "Program" in the Start Menu and I used Autoruns to delete the entries as I have no use for them starting automatically with Windows.

There was 2 entries in Autoruns called "Program" that matched the Start Menu items, both were highlighted in Yellow such as the item below.

Here I've chosen the Logon tab to simplify the view in Autoruns.
Notice that the name of startups in the task manager appears in the 'Name' column
The corresponding entry in Autoruns is in the 'Description' column

If 'Program' is in the Logon startup list clicking the Logon tab would make it easier to see.

Remember it is probably highlighted in yellow- right across the whole line shown by Autoruns.
The order is not the same as Autoruns groups these.

The command line view in task manager should be the same as Image Path shown in Autoruns:

Check your startup shortcut folders. Chances are it is a shortcut to an uninstalled program.

I know it's an old thread but some who might still come here:

I went to the register (Windows + r, regedit) to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and deleted the program there, it was gone in Task Manager directly. The folder location is also shown there, in my case it was and old program, i checked the location after just to make sure the directory was removed.

    They also reside in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
