    Permanently delete Adobe Flash Player


    I can uninstall Adobe Flash Player, but after reboot it has automatically been re installed.How to stop the re installation?

    Windows 10.

    Use Autoruns to see if something is installing it. Also, there may be a policy set which is installing it - see How to edit registry.pol file. I found the utility in that thread very useful.

    Right-click on the Start button --> Windows PowerShell.
    Run the following command and see whether there is a task related to Adobe Flash Player.

    Get-ScheduledTask|? State -ne Disabled

    This task is there and shows as ready, but I can't see how to delete it.

    Please run the command again and post the line of the output showing Adobe Flash Player PPAPI Notifier.

    For example,

    Try using Revo in advanced scanning after booting to Safe Mode. Check post #13 here.

    This KB is only for the embedded version of Flash used for IE and Edge, not the stand alone Flash Player.
