    People App

OneSyncSvc doesn't exists in the service list. Instead I see OneSyncSvc_2d075e running as a service.
(can't change no properties, can't even stop the service)
I wonder if that is correct as I have the following problem:
When I try to add an mail account in the People App I get the following error:

    something went wrong
    error code 0x80004005

after searching for days on the Internet I am at wit's end

    My O.S. is Windows 10 HomeEdition 20H2

I would appreciate it If anyone could point me in the right direction as to the solution of my problem.

I noticed that you have NOT had an answer so I thought I would try and help you.

I have NOT used this myself, but I did some investigating and came across these which might be similar to what you are looking for . . .

    I hope this helps.

The Calendar and Contacts/People are part of/linked to the Mail App, so look at the Account settings there(Manage Accounts).

In the Sync section > Sync options do you get ON switches for Calendar and Contacts in addition to Email ?

"When I try to add an mail account in the People App I get the following error:"

You add Accounts with the Mail App which has an extra option, and tick the appropriate sections in the Sync options as above.

Not all Email Accounts will have suitable formats for Calendar and Contacts. One of my 6 Accounts, an old one, has one option Email not the other two.

Accounts like Outlook, Gmail are no problem.

I am a user, with 6 Accounts setup with the Mail App and Calendar and People/Contacts. Never seen that error before in 5 years.

I think, almost sure, that the statement:

Not all Email Accounts will have suitable formats for Calendar and Contacts. One of my 6 Accounts, an old one, has one option Email not the other two.

    is correct.
I'll have to live with that (there are much worse things in life).

I much appreciate all the help.
