Windows 10 calendar not syncing with Google

Hi guys - a strange one here. For years I have been syncing my Windows calendar with my Google calendar - both ways, full functionality. Today I noticed that my Windows 10 calendar will not sync TO Google - but it does receive dates/notes FROM Google calendar. And I can delete items which I post on Google and which are automatically sent to my Windows calendar.

I do not use my Google calendar from day-to-day, but I use it to forward items to my Android mobile. So the problem is that I cannot input calendar items via Windows 10 - they just sit there.

Any ideas?

It's a word-around but flawless: abandon MS Calendar and pin Google Calender as a web app to your taskbar.

I prefer the option to 'open as a window' so that it feels more like an app.Half of my taskbar is full of pinned web apps.

To The Pool Man - many thanks for this work-around. Which of course works!

All I have to do now is find out how to sync my Samsung mobile calendar to my Google calendar. It works fine from Google to Android, but not the other way.
