start menu tiles win10 version 2004

I am a long time reader of this forum. Never posted but find it very informative. It this time I am looking for a little help with a problem I created. I have been using a little program called "Pin It" by a Sergi But... Absolutely love it, but I accidentally deleted it the other day and all the tiles I made with are also gone. Does anyone have this "app" or "program" that I need or know where to find it! Thanks everyone!

Was it a Store app or a 'desktop' exe/dll type program?

I have to agree. If it's a store app, you can easily reinstall it. If it's a .exe program, you might wanna check the recycle bin. (unless you emptied the recycle bin, in which case go find the website.)

    I hope this helps!

    Try the following -

Download the free tool ShadowCopyView from Nirsoft.

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shadow_copy_view.html

Look for a shadow copy that hopefully was made before the files were deleted.

Highlight it, and select Go to Root Directory in the File menu on the toolbar.

In the lower pane, navigate to that folder, and see if the files are there.

If so, select the files, right click, and select Copy Selected Files To.

Select a destination, and click the Do It button.

Failing that, you might also try Nirsoft's other recovery tool PreviousFileRecovery -

    https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/previo..._recovery.html

I would suggest doing frequent disk image backups of your entire system, and daily backups of volatile files that change between disk images.

Tools you might look into -

Macrium Reflect Free - free software for making disk images

Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

A 1 TB external USB hard drive to store backups - they are now less than 50 dollars US.

Karen's Replicator - free tool to backup files and folders between disk images

Thanks to everyone for their ideas on my problem. I do not believe it was a store app. I did have a great time using the shadow program that was suggested. Found stuff I had not seen for ages, but not my little "Pin It" app/program. Again thanks and any ideas will be followed up on until I find that little bugger!
