Don't you need a ..store... to get popcorn?

This seems to cover a similar scenario with some reporting success.. you'll need to read through carefully and see if anything helps.

But as said above, the routine use of System Restore and disk imaging are two basic ways to protect yourself and save time solving problems.

    I have SO many tweaks,
    - hopefully you have all documented and listed with reg files etc as necessary...

I have the reg files and documentation for 90% of it. The stuff I didn't document was all the zillions of Windows 10 setting switches. :/

/edit I found the download. Too tired to mess with it now. Will try anon.

To your PM question: Github download:
    Release LTSB-Add-MicrosoftStore . kkkgo/LTSB-Add-MicrosoftStore . GitHub

    - source code zip

Ensure you only install what's necessary.

That's the hard part. The good thing is I can use Revo to remove w/e I don't want, after the fact. One of the comments was a guy that tried it on v2004, and said it worked.

I really miss the old days. You could put the XP CD in and get w/e you wanted off of it. :/

The directions look pretty easy though...

    Download GitHub - LTSB-Add-MicrosoftStore
    Extract
    Run Add-Store.cmd as admin
Store is now working, now update apps inc Microsoft Store.
    Tested on Windows 10 Pro

Tonight I'll clean everything, make a fresh backup, and give it a try. I'm just too tired right now. Lol

If you didn't find a solution yet, you can try the link to the Microsoft Store here that I posted for LTSC users:

To add the Microsoft Store, simply download the below ZIP file, ensure that the file is not blocked by right clicking on it, go to Properties, then look at the bottom if it says this file came from the internet bla bla bla, just hit the UNBLOCK button then Apply then OK. Then extract it and run Add-Store.cmd as Admin

This is worth doing just for the sake of doing it! Good luck.

If Edwin is helping that's either a guarantee of SUCCESS or a precursor of DOOM which means you will be doing a Repair Install a little sooner than you had expected. Either way it will be exciting!

Why would someone want to reinstall Store? And, btw, how do I uninstall Store?

I use the Store so don't understand why anyone would want to uninstall it. If you don't like it, don't use it but why uninstall it?

But ... Uninstall Apps in Windows 10

I won’t actually be any help, as although I have re-installed the store after an over-aggressive clean, I am currently on holiday and browsing from an iPhone - but it can be done. AFAIR I had to copy a package (I think from a working install on another pc) to the right place and use dism to re-provision it.

It was a pain, and you’d think I would have learnt my lesson, but it is gone again - I don’t need it, and was vaguely aware it was busy doing stuff when I had no use for it.

So far I haven’t regretted it. If you are still struggling on my return, I’ll look up what I did. Atb, Martin

Iirc, I used Revo Uninstaller (free). It has a section for uninstalling Windows Apps.
But if you do uninstall it this way, and later decide you want it back... it won't be that easy.

I think I've decided that I'm going to leave it un-installed.

I haven't tested it yet, but I believe this will re-install Microsoft Store...
GitHub - kkkgo/LTSC-Add-MicrosoftStore: Add Windows Store for LTSC

Make a full OS image backup before trying to remove or re-install Microsoft Store.
