Re-running DISM and SFC results in No integrity violations. The key is it does not solve my problem. I'm leaving Windows alone and focusing on AutoCAD LT 2010.

I'm not quite certain what this translates to, does this suggest that both DISM & SFC are now completing successfully and reporting no issues?

Due to the fact that AutoDesk is not going to honor their perpetual licenses anymore, and the cost of upgrading the program to a subscription service, I think my best option at this point is to focus on replacing the software with something similar that is more reasonably priced.
I may work on the crash issue some more sometime soon, but for now I need to work on moving-on to avoid any business disruption. I am one hardware or OS failure away from having no CAD software to use.

This sounds like the best course of action. Perhaps compile a few detailed notes on anything related to this fault and save it until you have found a new solution for AutoCAD or other unacceptable Windows issues surface. Fingers crossed for success.
    Cheers,

Try to use Compatibility Administrator to allow AutoCAD to run normally; see "VMware Workstation Pro can't run on Windows" Message

    Thanks for that.
I will look into that after securing a CAD solution. I'm worried that any settings change could trigger an activation issue now.
