    app to create text from an mp3 file?


    I have voice recordings from meetings in mp3 format. Is there free software to create a text file from there?

    I have my doubts that a free version will transcribe accurately, but, I could be wrong.

    I'm not familiar with a good version for PC; I use Voice Pro for Android, although, it's not free by any means!

    I believe this might help and it is free.

    I think you have to play audio files in real tine though.

    How does this compare to "Windows speech recognition"? (built in - can be used e.g. to open an editor and dictate to it).

    Presumably you'd have to edit in all punctuation...
