How do I delete the backup and sync nag?

I've tried the instructions here but haven't hit the correct procedure apparently. I visited the Google site, changed my MSFT password and have done whatever I can but continue to get the nag.

How do I get rid of Google Drive and the backup and sync nag???

    Hi lbeck

Just for clarity your Microsoft account password can only be changed at Microsoft site.

You maybe using your microsoft name (userid) at Google but your true MS account and MS credentials are kept at Microsoft.

I really wish these big sites would force you to get an account with their domain name to reduce the confusion. You can also use a gmail (google) account name as your Microsoft account name, then the confusion is in the opposite direction.

You have two accounts. A microsoft Account and a Google account. They may bear the same name but the credentials at managed at the respective sites.

If you open task manager, you may have to click on show more details, then click on Startup Tab. You may see a line entry for Google backup which you could disable.

If you just don't want it anymore, full stop, you should be able to open apps (Start > Settings > Apps) and uninstall the app.

Before doing you decide what to do with any backups already in the Google cloud.
