    Photo Viewer missing

Even though I tried to open with my photos with the default photo app as Windows Photo Viewer, it’s missing. The only option is Paint 3D and Paint. I am running 1803 and seems to have opened my photos with Windows Photo Viewer a few days ago, but just now, this happened.

    Is this a known issue?

I know thanks, I was referring to the default Photos app I used by Win10 and its gone

Now all my photos are opening with Paint3D and select as default option does not have Photos app.

I need to use the app which Win10 was using before as the Photo app but its gone

You might see if you may be able to reinstall the Photos app from the Microsoft Store.

If you already have it installed, then you could see if resetting the app may help fix it.

Do you mean the old Windows Photo Viewer, or the Photos app which is Windows 10's default for viewing photos? Have a look in Settings > Apps > Default apps. What does it say for 'Photo viewer'? Whatever it says, click on it to see what options are offered. The top one should say...

    Photos

Its not the Windows 7 looking or type Photos Viewer, its the default Win10 Photos app.

Update, Under my Admin account, Its there in the Start menu but haven't opened it from there.
On my Standard Account, its not even in the Start Menu.
    Please also see image attached.

However, this morning under the Start menu, I noted under the Recently Installed apps there was a app called Video Editor and I uninstalled that from my Standard account only, but its there under my Admin account along with the Photos App.

I downloaded again from Windows Store and its back along with the Video Editor app whic I removed, I guess that app works along or somehow is connected to the Photos app. So removing the Video Editor app also will remove the Photos app.

    Thanks

Ah, I noticed that today. Before deciding whether to uninstall it I opened it. It turned out to be an alternative way to open Photos, but this one opens it on the 'Video projects' page. No wonder uninstalling it removed your Photos app - they are one and the same app.

Now I get this, and the Photos app is not listed under App and Features even though it shows up in the Start menu.
    Rebooting did not help...
