Telegram messenger freezes - Event viewer logs critical error
I am running latest greatest Windows 10, version 1803.The Telegram messenger, the desktop version is also latest version.
The application constantly freezes, as often as hourly. Very often when files get attached but sometimes for no visible reason or when not doing anything. The process has to be killed and restarted. The application becomes unresponsive. Here are logs from the event viewer.
I worked with the Telegram support, they think something is wrong with my Windows install. They say they are not aware of other users experiencing this with Windows 10 and other people running Telegram desktop on 10 don't see it either. I am the exception. I have talked to their help desk, they don't see anything wrong. I reinstalled Telegram half a dozen times. This is their comments.
It seems that both of those crash dumps point to a crash that occurs inside the Operating System choose file dialog box. Somewhere after you most likely decide to attach some files to open that dialog box, it crashes. This means that the crash is not due to the Telegram Desktop code, but something most likely relating to the operating system of your computer.
I do not have this issue with other messengers (viber, whatsapp, etc.) or any other software packages or any other issues with 10.
