need an Ap to replace DVD main menu text

I am certain that there is a program to help me, maybe someone could suggest something. I have a Movie in German and English Audio but the Chapter menu is written in German. I have found the translations and would like to edit the main menu and replace the German with English. I am certain such a thing is possible, its just knowing the best programI I hope someone can suggest something that would...I tried DVDsubedit, but although I can see the main menu I cant figure out how to edit it

Bear in mind it was written in 2006, so not all the utilities it suggests may be available now (or if they are, may not be compatible with Win10). It should at least give you an idea on how to start.


Personally, "if I wanted to go there, I wouldn't start from here" as an old joke says. I would extract the video and create a new menu from scratch with something like DVDstyler. I did that once for a DVD I had bought, in my case it was the video itself that I wanted to modify - for some strange reason it had been encoded with black bands at both the top and sides of the video. I recoded it to fit a 16:9 screen, then recreated a good facsimile of the original menu in DVDstyler.

thank you so much, this s a very good guide, as you say it could do with some updating, but then DVDs are pretty much dead R.I.P. ( So hopes Mr Gates and Amazon et all....) DVDs s have a distinct advantages in that you can have a physical copy swop and or sell with friends, or you can have a digital copy, ( still pay the same price ) and be very restricted what you can do with it and will never be able to sell or give it away.....progress HUH
