I have windows 10 home. I don't need cortana. I don't like cortana. I don't want cortana. Is there any way I can turn it off?

The easiest thing is simply ignore it. Worst case.. it uses about 40Mb RAM.

You can hide the search bar on the task bar if you wish.

I have nothing visible on my screen to do with Cortana; only if I deliberately hit Windows key + S, say, does Cortana appear. But then, don't use Win 10's start menu either...

H'mm Glad he op opened this thread Cortana, made me go look to see if it came back. Yep - looks like MS has re-installed Cortana back on my machine (Must of been this last CU). Good news is its now GONE AGAIN !!
