Denis: thank you. That worked.
I am getting an error when trying to send an attachment with Outlook. It sends mail fine otherwise, but won't send an attachment (out of memory error). I have 32 GB or RAM, so it's not a memory...
Only other thing I can think of is maybe there's something interfering with the optical part of the mouse? Have you tried using it on a different surface or blowing off the the sensor?
Turns out my issue was some sort of interference. I switched to a corded mouse and everything works perfectly.
Me, too. I was able to find the program and change the name. But it never was in the processes list in the Task Manager. Oddly, it seemed to help, but not completely cure the problem. So something...
Thanks for the suggestion. It does seem unlikely as my computer is a couple of years old now, but who knows?
Oh yeah....and a Microsoft bulletin suggested the "sfc/scannow" approach. It didn't find anything wrong.
A couple of months ago, I notice that my wireless mouse was starting to hesitate and lag. Usually, I could move the dongle to a different USB port and that would solve the issue for a while. However,...
You might want to consider the Media Creation Tool: Windows 10. I believe the fall update has been restored, though MS had pulled it last weekend. I used the tool for both my laptop and main machine...
I think you're correct about that.
The current status of v. 1511, according to BetaNews website (seems to confirm what others have been saying):
The November update was originally available via...

Otherwise, since you just did a clean...
I'm curious...what kind of under lying issues are you referring to?
What kind of glitches are you having? I've noticed no problems so far with the update.
This method worked perfectly with both my laptop and main machine. Thank you.
You get the option to keep all your files and applications. You just need to make sure that option is selected and your files will be intact. That's what I did and it worked perfectly.
Thank you.
Hmm...still no "setup.exe" file with this approach. It gives me the option to "Upgrade this PC" or to create installation media. The first option downloads a new version of Windows and finally ends...
Okay, thanks.
I clicked on the first link you provided, but did not get a "setup.exe" file. This is what I got: GetWindows10-sds_____________.exe.
Is that the correct file to run?
Thanks! I appreciate all the responses here. This is one of the most helpful forums I've ever used for anything.
I agree with JohnC. My boot times are good on both my main machine and my laptop. No complaints and Windows 10 runs very smoothly on both. Sounds like there may be something wrong with your system or...
Okay, thanks. I'll consider it. I think I'll wait a few days to see if it shows up in my regular updates first.
Is this like a clean install, or does it just update my system? I'd prefer not to go through a long, involved process. Thanks.
The Windows 10 fall update was rolled out yesterday, but I have yet to see it. Every time I "check for updates", it says my machine is up to date. Is this a gradual roll-out? Just wanted to see if...
Hmm...I don't think so. Too late to go back to 8.1, anyway.
BTW, nobody on the Adobe forums has provided a solution to the icon issue. It's weird because it only occurs on the start menu (icons...
