I noticed WU made a backup of cumulative update when i ran standalone setup.
It also consumed 800mb of HDD space, before it was 34.2 and now it is 33.6 gb left.
Manually downloaded x64 kb3097617 and installed, since update was stuck at 4%. but after restart windows is still trying to download same patch again.
will windows download this update again?

download win 98 form torrent, burn the image into CD and then try to format your c drive in DOS mode. Afterwards try to install win 7 from your installation disk.

I had a similar type of problem with my laptop, but in my case keys were repeating. So i removed keypad attached it again and everything started working fine
Graphics driver are automatically updated, which best supported by your system. You can also use intel driver update utility to checkout latest driver
External USB keyboard was working fine, so i took out keypad from my laptop and reattached it again and keys started working again without ant problem.
