    I just did a in-place reinstall and trying to fix my startmenu as every new user account I create, the tiles are not correct. I wonder how is the tiledatalayer database generated as the reinstall I did a few days ago had a good tiledatalayer database. So need to fix that before the other stuff. LOL.

    I wonder for those who clean installed, do you have a process named csrss.exe running? I did another in-place reinstall today and before I had it as 1024,20480,1024 but after Windows 10 was done installing, it changed it to 1024,20480,768.

    csrss.exe is a critical system process. There will be one instance for system use plus one for each logged on user. You need to select "Show processes from all users" to see all of them. The process id is of no consequence. It will be different on different computers and for different sessions. The memory used by this process can vary widely and still be normal.

    I was asking about csrss.exe because registry key
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems\Windows
      references csrss.exe where the Resource Heaps are adjusted:
      %SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe
      ObjectDirectory=\Windows
      SharedSection=1024,3072,512
      Windows=On
      SubSystemType=Windows
      ServerDll=basesrv,1
      ServerDll=winsrv:GdiServerDllInitialization,4
      ServerDll=winsrv:UserServerDllInitialization,3
      ServerDll=winsrv:ConServerDllInitialization,2
      ProfileControl=Off
      MaxRequestThreads=16

    I am, It still plagued by this issue. MS certainly have got something wrong. I can no longer run as I used to under Win 8.1is a constant fight to close apps and reduce the number pf browser pages open to prevent the regular black screen crashes that happen sometimes if you do not heed the close app popup,
