    [W10] New - Context Menu items gone after installing Calibre. Restore?


    Hi,

    I'm using W10 22H2.

    After installing a tool called Calibre, the entire default windows context menu (right-click) seems to be altered.

    All the options under New > "Wordt Document" , "Excel Document" etc. have dissapeared.

    Is there an easy way to restore them? I tried repairing the Office installation but that didn't work.

    Hmm, naturally you could e.g. use a System Restore point- but that would remove this Calibre tool too, whatever that may be.

    New menu items (default):
    Add or Remove New context menu in Windows 10
    Add or Remove Default New Context Menu Items in Windows 10

    Office: other than repairing Office Youtube may have some ideas (not checked what they are):

    Otherwise here is an old freeware tool - still valid (Attached) - I've posted this at least a couple of times before...

    Open the zip file and try that.

    Personally I wouldn't be happy with a program that had side-effects like that.
