    Can't chcange folder name 9r1¤ŰܸŢ.╩5

Suddenly during copying pictures from SD card to HDD in Windows 10 a devil changed folders names on SD and system stopped cypying. Now one folder name is
    *ö álŢy.┴ă
    and the second
    9r1¤ŰܸŢ.╩5
In Windows I can't change this names or get into.
    Any tips?

Which folder are these awkward folders inside? [I suggest you post the full folder paths]
Can you clear out everything else within that parent folder & within the awkward folders themselves?

If you can clear everything else out then you can get rid of them.
1 First of all, as you do not know why they ended up with those strange names, I suggest you run ChkDsk - Drive Error Checking - TenForumsTutorials
2 Then you can clear out the rogue folders using this procedure - my ditty about using RoboCopy to clear out a rogue file - TenForums
I appreciate that you will want to ask questions before proceeding.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

    Welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]

Maybe using wild card and 8 character limit at a command prompt would help:
Open a command-prompt window (click the “Start” button then type “cmd”)
Navigate to the folder that contains the offending folder (type “cd temp\foldername\whatever”)
Rename the file or folder using the Win95/DOS long-file name format; let’s pretend it’s called “invalidfilename ” (ren invali~1 goodname)
    Delete the folder (rd goodname)
You may have to do that by booting to a command prompt.

I've seen mention of using 7-zip to handle items with special characters, but don't know if that would be relevant here.

I couldn't change this folders names, but...
After running ChkDsk I got over 350 files with file name extension *.chk. I changed them to jpg (smaller files) and .mov (bigger files). Recovered names are FILE0001 and up, but dates of pictures and films are correct.
Try3 - thank you for tip with CheckDisk.
