    Startup Failure

Running Win 10 Pro with latest updates. I have recently been getting very slow shit downs. When I next power up the machine, I often get the ASUS splash screen with a moving circle, but it doesn't boot all the way. I have to shut down with the power button and then start it again. Then it goes to an ASUS screen telling me to use DEL or F2 to get the UEFI bios. That usually takes two or three tries before I get tot he BIOS. I am able to boot from there.
    Ideas?

Please perform the following and post the results . . .

     Hard Disk Sentinel

First, check your HDD using the Hard Disk Sentinel Portable Trial Version.

    About Hard Disk Sentinel:

Hard Disk Sentinel is a computer Hard Disk Drive monitoring software for Windows, Linux and DOS operating systems.

Hard Disk Sentinel [ Sentinel ] is a multi-OS SSD and HDD monitoring and analysis software. Its goal is to find, test, diagnose and repair hard disk drive problems, report and display SSD and HDD health, performance degradations and failures. Hard Disk Sentinel gives complete textual description, tips and displays/reports the most comprehensive information about the hard disks and Solid State Disks inside the computer and in external enclosures [ USB hard disks / e-SATA hard disks ].

You can run it directly from a USB, and in my opinion, this gives the best instant report available compared to other software of the same type.

    I hope this helps.

System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums

Run check disk (logical drive structure test)
Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    chkdsk c: /f
It will say your disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = yes
    Restart

    Disable fast start
Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10

It did start with windows 7, but Win 10 was added after rebuild of MB and CPU, GPU. How do I check CMOS battery?

@Megahertz. If hibernate isn't enabled, Fast Start isn't either, correct? I don't have the option to start or stop FastStart.

Hi, Google helps.. I searched for
    check CMOS battery desktop

    e.g.
How to Detect CMOS Battery Failure of Your Computer | Rocks Digital

If you search similarly, you will find more and several videos that could be useful.

    And yes.

You have a lot of drives. Try booting with just the system drive connected.
Simplification can help in problem identification.
