There must be a clue in some change that occurred - originally about 'two weeks' before this started.

Do you have a disk image from that time- do you use disk imaging? So often recommended here so you can go back to a previously good state- restore your system to a new disk or even PC- have a full backup... e.g. Macrium Reflect (free).

Did you connect new hardware, install anything new, make any changes, receive updates..?

By way of a random experiment, create a new user for test purposes, log in as that user, and see if you see the same thing.

ive rolled my gpu driver back to August release and so far no lags or connect/dissconect sounds but latency monitor still says theres a problem
    This is a good progress!

Latencymon can show some DPC problems, but it can be normal to have some high DPCs when the system is under stress. It's ok to have DPCs but not have them running on the CPU for a long time!

So do a test, run a video and see if you notice any gliches or audio pops. if so record a trace with WPR.
If not you can consider your problem temporarely fixed with this earlier deriver version.

You will then need to protect that driver from being updated- e.g.
Prevent Windows Update from Updating Specific Device Driver

i may have been a bit premature thinking the older GPU driver had sorted the problem, it hadnt, it does seem better with less events but there still happening

Yes i have macruim back up the last back up being 04/20, I restored that image to a spare hard drive and booted my pc on this drive, I still have the same issue, freezes and an audible usb connecting disconnecting sound.

id already disabled windows update and the update history shows last updates from March

My Gpu driver is 20.3.1 also from March

and the problem is still there, i can only think this must be a hardware problem for the same issue to be there after the roll back?

ill add a couple of traces that i took on the pc running the March Macruim back up, on the first there were 2 events one at the beginning and again i think about 28 to 38 seconds in, neither of these had the usb disconnect/connect sound

the second was from 7 seconds in till about 15 and this one made the usb sound

The first link doesn't contain the ETL file ! just the NGENPDB folder.

Would any of the other options in the WPR profile help if they were selected?

    I see a slightly different hang path in this trace;
The display window manager is not rendering at 60 Mhz all the time. rendering frequency dropped under 60 Mhz in some portion of the trace.

I noticed that this time you are using a secondary monitor. If so, do your tests without this monitor being plugged in.

in the 7-15s time span, the CPU was pegged by the AMD graphic card, as in the previous trace.

What the trace show as well is the amount of crashes (WerFault.exe) caused by the RadeonSoftware.exe and the Qt engine processes.

Check the Reliability monitor and the event viewer for more details about the error.

What you can also do, because you've played a lot with drivers version, updating and rolling back; is to completely uninstall the RadeonSoftware and perform a driver cleanup, then install back the current driver.

I only have one monitor display, settings say i have 2 and that the monitor im on is number 2 , ive been unable to get rid of the ghost monitor or set my main monitor as number 1, the only time it shows only one monitor is when i disable the gpu in device manager

i have already tried the driver clean up tool, i have been doing it every now and again as ive been changing the drivers a lot

How do i get to the event viewer zinou is it a part of the WPR ?i cant see it

This last trace's i posted was from an system image from March when my system was running fine, disconnected the ether net then turned off windows update so there was no software change made when i started this image and i can see that in update history, last updates still show as March.

Does this rule out a software update i may of had in the last few weeks that started this problem?

i will start a new thread see if i can get this ghost monitor removed see if that does anything

Check for errors under the application & system logs; you'll probably find error related to the RadeonSoftware.exe application crashes.
