Are you still experiencing any problems?

Yes and its been quite bad with lags that have lasted for up to about 30 seconds and lots of frequent shorter ones, so ive tried the process monitor to see if it would capture them and im not sure if it has or not, on the file ive uploaded there was a pause of at least 15 seconds that i cant see on the time stamp.
if i open notepad and start typing when i hear the usb connect /disconnect sound noting happens on notepad but when the usb connect/disconnect sound happens again what i had typed appears in notepad so seems like the system was still recording my input, so not sure if the same thing is happening in process monitor.
that being said looking at the file ive uploaded there seems to be a massive amount of things happening at 11.46.57 to 11.46.54 but the there are only 14 time stamps at 11.46.53, again for 11.46.49, 11.46.43, and between 11.46.41 to 11.46.37
but im only going of the fact that at other second intervals theres a shed load of things happening, this well be normal i dont know.
while ive been writing this ive had latency monitor running on my pc for 22 mins and its giving me a warning,
is the usb connecting disconnecting sound classed as a dropout?
Ive not uploaded the pml file because its too big 115MB and im hoping thatn on the latency monitor is the problem
The basic issue with this problem as you will have seen, having searched tenforums for
Latencymon
for examples is that that is not diagnostic, rather it is indicative.
E.g.
Audio and Video Tearing - High DPC Latency in LatencyMon
Once the problem driver has been identified e.g. analytically using the WPR - not easy- the typical solution is to use an older one.
You have upgraded- what was the last Windows build you used when you did not have this problem?
I have made other suggestions previously which I don't think you've used.
Running LatencyMon, posting that here will not get you a solution. Only the start of a process.
I was on version 1909 (OS build 18363, 1256 when this problem started and if the build doesn't automatically update like you've said then it must have been on this build when it started, last driver i installed myself was video drivers, ive tried with out the video drivers installed and problem persists,
my update history dosent go back before the time the problem started and i don't remember installing or making any changes prior to this starting, so maybe a windows update in the background that i now cant see, i dont know.
i missed your comment about a clean boot, i have now tried that and unfortunately it didnt help
so looks like i need to use WPR to identify the problem driver which i,ll have to try next time ive got time,
where you say 'not easy', are you talking about the WPR software or the process of finding the faulty driver?
Both.. see previous examples of such threads. In those you will find examples of different filter sets used to configure the Windows Performance Recorder.
Otherwise try trial and error- as I said-using Autoruns to disable drivers where you can or eliminate/remove what hardware you can for test purposes. That's a blunt approach, quick, dirty, and might work if you're lucky.
Essential to this is using the right older version and eliminating problem cases. Hence the interest in when you last didn't have the problem. @zinou is the only person who looks at WPR traces.
ive found when uninstalling video drivers i didnt get any freezes or connect/disconnect sounds, so ive tried installing older drivers but every driver has the same affect, im on the September amd driver now and its still doing the same thing,
if i go into device manager and disable the video card, once again get no freezes and connect/disconnect sounds,
so seems like the problem's pointing at the video card/drivers
And what does Latencymon report when it's disabled?
Need to check with that that there's still no excessive latency that doesn't result in discernible distortion.
Check your BIOS is up to date:
ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II BIOS & FIRMWARE | Motherboards | ASUS United Kingdom
As there doesn't seem a related driver from a single manufacturer's site, other than being lucky, your only other option appears to be to use the WPR to try to identify the cause in detail.
ive updated my BIOS it was one of the first things ive done
should i upload the results of WPR here or is there an area on ten forums that would be better? i have no idea what the results mean
latencymon still showed there was a problem, though i couldnt see a discernable problem with video disabled

The video graph shows clearly when the Freeze happened. the desktop Windows Manager stopped rendering images to the desktop.
And it confirms that AMD graphic card drivers were causing these freezes; he pegged the CPU for several seconds!
If you already have the latest driver version, try to roll back to the previous one and see if it help.
I've tried going back got to September, will try going back further when get home, could it be hardware/gpu starting to fail?
