Shutdowns on system
Morning, hope all are well today.
I had a shutdown on my system couple weeks ago. Stats below. When booting it back up I had to go in and reset my bios. Since then I have not been able to get it right. At the moment it is working ok but I expect another shut down. So I am looking for some help because maybe I am missing something or someone will spot something I have not seen.
There is a short story behind this. I built it several years back and it has been a nice little gem. This is really the only time I have had an issue. I bought it through New Egg. It was a package deal Motherboard + Ram + processor. I have done overclocking before but do not claim to be a pro. I had planned on overclocking this just a touch but since it was going to be a home machine, a little would be fine. After running it seems like a couple of months it started doing this shut down thing. I worked with it a bit but I decided to call New Egg and get some direction. Ended up it was suggested by New Egg that I needed to call the board manufacturer and see what they could do. I attempted to send it back but New Egg said after 30 days if a part failed I would need to call the manufacturer of that part and give them a chance and if nothing was able to be fixed they would provide me with a return number and I could return it.
Well I talked to several people who had me do different things over, I guess another couple of months. Finally I got this one guy who knew his stuff. He looked at my error files and my CPUZ info. He then said, Hey I bet it is your memory. Had me down clock my memory by one step. It never shut down again till now. I did overclock the processor as I remember just one maybe two steps to compensate for downclocking the ram.
Now it is acting like I said above. So I was wondering if someone could look at the info below and maybe suggest something. Memtest showed no issues as long as the system would stay up. I did test the memory in another system here I built and it said it was fine. I used Hot CPU Tester, no issues there. Used Utra-X products to test the board and it didn't show anything. I pulled the board and did a thorough visual and everything look good use a magnifier. I check everything visually. Put it back together the same issue.
At this point I am thinking it is in the settings. But to the best of my memory I am using the same settings as before except I don't have the processor overclocked. So what gives? Oh, tried another psu just in case. It did the same thing.
