How to solve DLL problem after crash

Three days ago when I switched on I got a message, before the Welcome screen appeared, that due to problems with safety an automatic repair would be made to the Win 10 OS. The system would not allow me access until that lengthy process was completed. Then even though I had used the save my personal files option, I found that several programmes had disappeared and their headings just stated - empty.

I have mostly reinstalled the missing ones but the behaviour of the OS has subtly changed - for example warning message boxes are different and the font type and size in them is changed.

But the worst problem I am having is that as I try to navigate to some programmes a message pops up as shown in the screenshot attached. Navigation stops and the programme sometimes stops until I close that message.

I was intending to use the Powershell DISM Image Health programme I installed last year to check but that has vanished and when i search for it, the DLL message pops up and stops me dead!

Two questions
How can I correct whatever is causing the DLL message?
Where can I get the image health cmd programme - I can't remember now where the link is on this forum.

I have got the DISM back, thanks. The first attempts to sort out the problem I made using that. Results so far:
Step 2 no results
Step 4 stated 1 problem so went to
Step 5 followed by
Step 6 and then a restart.
Fault still there so
Step 7 which reported no problems. But DLL error still there

Then had a look at System Restore. No help as i expected - the only entry was called Windows Update and as that was when the whole system was forcibly reinstalled, that would obviously be no good!

Then I did some more searching for the specific phrase in the error message.

I also have the WS_FTP 12 programme which disappeared during the repair/reinstall so I used the backed up install file to reinstall it. I can try uninstalling it manually and see if the DISM Step 13 will reinstall it from the first time I installed it when I got Win 10 18 months ago. But that can wait a bit longer as I have some more information on what happens when I get the DLL error message.

Screenshot dll.jpg is the first one I sent in this thread and just happens to have a website in the background that was of no relevance.
Screenshot dll1.jpg I did today after starting in File Explorer. I hadthen just opened my own website when the message popped up. The only script on that page is HTML code to write "copying not allowed" when context clicked on it.
Screenshot dll2.jpg is in my Pictures/Screenshots folder when I had context clicked on dll1. I closed the error message but File Explorer had frozen so I couldn't look at anything else!
Screenshot dll3.jpg shows why! I looked at Task Manager - that calls File Explorer Windows Explorer! And under that heading is shown that my Screenshots folder is still active, AND, so is the Error message box even though it had gone from my screen. I ended that task and that immediately unfroze File/Windows Explorer.
Without dong anything else. a context click opened up the sub menu on the image file so I could choose an option as usual.

That is the standard routine - when context click brings up the error message, closing the message box leaves the file highlighted and a second context click brings up the sub menu drop down as if nothing had happened.

I hope that was not too disjointed! I will give it a rest now until I am ready to try the windows.old via DISM.

PS - I use my mouse left handed so I can keep my right free for the keyboard. So my active button is the right one and for ease of explanation I never refer to "right clicking" but context click.

I was curious about that! I at first thought it was just US English. But thinking further IF it really is referring to a MS file it should be 'resource.dll'. If just a comment, it should be 'the resource DLL'

So then I wondered if perhaps it is a malware PUP. But so far after the MS reset of Win 10 Malwarebytes has only noted one PUP and one Adware in July, Interestingly one was from a website called errortools. That must have been after I got the error box and was looking for info about it. Anyway, to be extra safe, I have deleted the quarantined items and then made a fresh scan (leaving the latest error box message open to give the scan a chance at it!). The result was OK as no malware was detected.

I am beginning to think that the message box is a genuine MS reaction, just badly worded.

In my further research I have stumbled across a file placed on my desktop during the reinstall. It is a list of all my programmes that were removed when the OS was reset. It is a VERY long list and will take me a lot of work to get them all back

The HTML page is headed in Danish which might be another clue as to what happened! Now I have to try and understand how to reinstall all my programmes using the windows.old folder.

Simple - as it was a total reinstall forced on me without information or my consent, I am concerned that if I use AOMEI I may well be putting the system back to the situation that caused the problem in the first place!
I want to know WHY it happened and WHAT I might need to do to prevent it.

So far nobody has told me the cause of the message box I am continually receiving, or even that it is generally known!

Without knowing what is going on, how can you be sure that the problems would be resolved?
If past experience is any guide, I will still have to completely reinstall all my programmes (including AOMEI), as a standard MS reinstall ONLY saves my personal files.

By the way, the message from MS about version 2004 is not encouraging!
"You may not see Download and install on your device as we are slowly throttling up this availability over the coming weeks, or your device might have a compatibility issue for which a safeguard hold is in place until we are confident that you will have a good update experience.)"

The program which is reporting this error must be:
1. uninstalled
2. reboot system
3. reinstall program

Agreed, but nobody has yet suggested what that programme might be! Or how to find out.

Could it possibly be related to the WS_FTP pogram you say you have reinstalled ? Only, if so, try uninstalling it and thereafter, de-register the wsftpsi.dll following the procedure as shown here (to see if the error goes away ) :
