    Latest Windows Updates Causing Problems!

I have tried loading the latest Windows updates (see attached) several times and have experienced problems each time. I have backed all of them out at the present time. My laptop seems to run much slower and the fingerprint scanner does not work among other things after these updates. Is anyone else having issues with these updates?
    Thanks

What is your current Win 10 version? Run the following command: Winver

I see that you're running Win 10 Pro and that on the top of the image you posted there is a remark in red: "Some settings are managed by your organization".

Does the laptop belongs to a company?
Did you install any kind of update blocker?

No update blocker is installed. This is my personal laptop. My Windows version is 1909 Build 18363.778. I am on this release because it is running well, and frankly I am tired of problematic Windows update. I am running 10 Pro and have updates paused for this reason.

    Thanks

I agree that you should stay with Ver 1909 for some time.
If you have paused the updates, what is the problem (post #1)?

For the the fingerprint scanner, open Device manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?

    Hello @TexasBandit,

Can you please perform the following [ this checks for ANY Problem Device Errors ] . . .

[1] Goto this TenForums link => Batch Scripts / Programs.
[2] Goto the heading Find ANY Problem Devices . . .
[3] Download and Run the .bat file.

If there are ANY Problem Device Errors it will create a Prob_Devices.txt file on the Desktop!

[4] Upload the results => How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums.

    I hope this helps!

Nothing to worry about, all my W10 Pro machines show that too.

It's because I have the 'notify to download' group policy enabled. This is also why there's a red * a little lower down explaining so.

Clicking 'view configured update policies' will confirm that.

Yes, I know all that. The updates downloaded just fine, no problems. I am just frustrated with the level of testing Microsoft is doing prior to an update being pushed out. I have restored my system to a state before this maintenance and all is well.

I am not concerned with the fingerprint scanner because at my maintenance level, it functions just fine. No problem! I did check Device Manager and even uninstalled and reinstalled the driver to no avail after the updates.

My concern is with the "new" updates and the issues they bring along. Fingerprint scanner was working just fine until I installed the updates. As I stated earlier, I have restored my system (using Macrium) to a state prior to the installation of the updates.

I am just wondering if anyone is having issues with these updates?

    Thanks

I have decided to stay on 1909 and leave 2004 until they iron out the bugs! I used the "Windows Update Mini Tool" to update all except the feature 2004. Thank you for letting me know about this great utility. I have been searching for something that would allow me to select updates, and this works just fine. Thanks again ...
