    svchost.exe_DiagTrack stopped working

I just checked Reliability Monitor and it is full of this error for the last 8 days

What is svchost.exe_DiagTrack, and should I be worried? The pc seems to be running ok despite these errors, but now I'm wondering if something is wrong.

I've figured out that is a Windows service called 'Connected User Experiences and Telemetry'. I still don't know, though, why it is suddenly stopping after I log on.

Most likely caught the flu by being firewalled or shut off to not be able to make a connection back to the servers.

I'm seeing exactly the same thing, started a couple of weeks ago.
My first recorded instance was on October 17th, and it now happens on every startup.
The Connected User Experiences and Telemetry service crashes and is restarted twice, after that it gives up and continues stopped until the next restart, when the whole thing repeats itself.
    Windows 10 1903 64 bit.

    I checked the Reliability Monitor again and funnily enough, this started for me on October 17th also. The only other thing of note for that day was this;

"Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following update: Update for Windows Defender Antivirus antimalware platform - KB4052623 (Version 4.18.1910.4)"

I know a previous update of this caused a problem, so is it possible this one is too? I know it's not a big deal, but my curiosity is getting the better of me.

@bro67 I checked my firewall's outbound rules and it is allowed. As I said, not a big deal, but I am curious.

Thanks, obviously no coincidence that it started to happen for both of us on the same day!
I wonder how many others are having the problem but haven't noticed.
As you say, it doesn't seem to be causing any issues, but I don't like seeing errors in my Windows logs all the time!
Hopefully it will be fixed on the next Patch Tuesday, which should be 12th November.
    Cheers, Dave.

@DaveH1 Just out of interest, does your Reliability Monitor show this update on 17th October as well? :

"Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following update: Update for Windows Defender Antivirus antimalware platform - KB4052623 (Version 4.18.1910.4)"

Actually no, the only other event on my system on October 17th was -

"Installation Successful: Windows successfully installed the following update: Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.303.1946.0)"

So, another Windows Defender update, but not the same one!
I'm not sure whether I have KB4052623 installed or not, there is no reference to it in the registry.

So much for that theory then.

KB4052623 should show up in Settings>Update & Security>View update history

Yes, KB4052623 was installed on my system on October 2nd.
Unfortunately my Reliability Monitor only seems to go back to October 4th, I can't go back any further, so I can't see what else might have happened then.
