    Hi,
    On most memory an easy improvement is lowering tRFC as much as possible, 350-500 or until you can't post and then add another 25 or so for stability. hynix kits are more limited than b-die kits here
    Then double tREFI to what ever it shows or just set to 40000 max is 65535

    Yeah that's one of the settings.
    Should have a few settings showing the other in bios\
    Here's what I set them to.
    You might not be able to go that low
    Start at 500 on all three instead of 880 is where auto is throwing them that's crazy high and you loose performance on that.

    DRAM REF Cycle Time [350]
    DRAM REF Cycle Time 2 [350]
    DRAM REF Cycle Time 4 [350]

    Hi,
    You do all three the same setting 350 ?
    x299 only has one tRFC setting not three like these z boards have lol

    2nd, this is my Apex XI motherboard ....not my z board.

    This is just my backup / spare rig ....not oc'd that much. My main rig is still down. Waiting for its motherboard to be shipped back to me. Hoping they ship it back to me this week...
