help with TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) and Corsair h100i cooler

My existing machine is an Intel i7-3820, and I have a Corsair 240mm h100i cooler...works marvelously!!

However, the cpu is getting a bit long in the tooth, so I decided to replace motherboard/cpu/memory.
I have a TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X cpu...

Sadly, once I got the cooler installed successfully (about 18 months ago), I tossed the rest of the hardware... bad me...
So now I need mounting hardware for the Corsair h100i cooler and this motherboard...
I found the following mounting kit on Amazon, and it *claims* to h100i RGB (which is what I have), but it *really* doesn't look right?? For one thing, it has *two* mounting points, while the backplane for the cpu has *four* screws...
Also, it looks like it a square grip for attaching to the cooler... the existing mounting hardware for the cooler is attaching to a round portion of the cooler head.
    Amazon.com

I haven't yet torn down the existing machine, so I can't take a closer look at the cooler head at this point.

Anyway, can anyone give me some guidance on this situation?? Should I return this mounting kit and get one of the round ones? I'm confused by all the different AM4 mounting kits that claim to be for h100i...

If it matters, I will be doing a clean install of current Windows 10, onto a Samsung PCIe4 M.2 drive...

OH!! I get it... It has two 'ears' which hook onto the tongues installed on each side of the cpu, then the mounting hardware slips onto the screws on those tongues, and then I screw down the mounting screw on top of them... The images in the Corsair manual were a little confusing, but I get it now...

Now the only question is whether these square brackets will actually attach to the cooler or not... I won't know that until I tear down the existing machine...

    @Gorlash

Well Amazon links, or actual model number of your cooler would help...
...this claims to be the bracket kit for the H100i RGB.

Here's ALL the Corsair accessories. I found about 5-6 different retention brackets for Corsair AIO coolers. But the one above seems closest to your description. (H100i RGB)

But if you want, you can just go through these pages and find all the retention brackets...

Well, that's one of several that say they are for the H100i RGB, but they are all wrong.
This is what the AMD mounting bracket for my cooler (Corsair H110i PRO RGB) looks like:
Corsair H100i PRO RGB - AMD mounting bracket | Derell Licht | Flickr

Note the four evenly-spaced holes with slots... you slide the bracket onto those four holes, rotate it slightly, and it locks into place. That's how the current Intel bracket worked as well...

Sadly, this correct bracket is not found *anywhere* on Amazon, as far as I can tell so far.
I'm still grinding through the Corsair Accessories pages, but so far on page 11, I have yet to see it.
The *only* place that I've found the correct bracket, so far, is a site in Israel !!! That is so weird...

I may try calling Corsair tomorrow, though when I tried last week, I sat on hold for almost an hour before I gave up. They *did* say right up front, that they are swamped with support calls, and even emails are taking weeks to get responses...

That's going to be sad if I finally get the last of my parts next week, but cannot actually do the build because I don't have mounting hardware for my cooler...

    //**************************************
HAH!! I finally found it on page 13, and the ordering page has *one* link, labeled "notify me when this is in stock".

Go to that 2nd link I posted above.... go through the pages that show "accessories".
I had to go through 40 pages before I stopped finding retention brackets.

But yes... calling Corsair would be the "easy" way.

Yes, that is where I found it, on page 13, as I said...
and also as I noted, it is out of stock: "Notify me when it is in stock".
What was cool about that page, though, was that it gave me the SKU for the kit: CW-8960050 ...
it's such a shame that this isn't doing me any good... I'm still stuck with the site in Israel...

I just searched that part number you gave... yeah... that's a tough one.
I did find it in Denmark (I think)

    Web Translator

    They say it's In stock.

    HAHAAAA!!!!
Yep, and I found it in Israel and Hong Kong !!

Well, the cpu comes with an air-cooler (Wraith Prism)... I guess I can just use that for now, while waiting for weeks for this plate to arrive... From what I've read, that cooler isn't *terrible*, as long as I don't want to do any gaming... <sigh>

I can't believe I was stupid enough to throw out the unused hardware that came with that cooler... duh...

Yeah, there's a time in everyone's life, that we learn to save ALL the bits and pieces.

I would think Hong Kong would be your best bet. And yeah, you won't be playing any AAA games on the Wraith Prism.

I dunno where you are in Cali, but Corsair is down in Fremont. I would be tempted to pay them a visit.

I probably know the answer to this question, but I'll ask anyway...

I previously ordered this mounting bracket, which claims to be for h100i :
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm pondering mounting this upside down, and putting those bracket legs on *top* of the cooler head and tightening it down... do y'all think there is *any* chance it would exert enough pressure to make good contact with the CPU??

as a reminder, my CPU is Ryzen 7 3700X

I think a 3700x is a "terrible thing to waste".
In other words... no... don't use the wrong bracket. I've learned that the hard way.. too.

If it comes down to it... the NZXT Kraken are better AIO coolers. ^^

    Like the X63...

Choose A CPU Cooler - PCPartPicker

But you may be surprised. Corsair has come through for me and a lot of other folks, with out of the box solutions.
