What do you mean a network plug or wifi extender? The network plugs you plug in near the router and plug in a network cable and then put another one in another room and plug a network cable in so you should get full speed. Wifi extenders vary a lot depending on your house
If you are talking about PLC (Power-line communication) it will not boost the signal, only bring internet where there is no ethernet cable. This will probably lower the speed of your internet speed, count on 100 mbps at best with these PLC. So if you have above 100 mbps you will lose speed.
There are also wifi repeaters, mesh wifi systems that can give you more than 100 mbps, this will depend on the types of walls/ceilings, surface area of the home and how many repeaters installed/included in the mesh system.
