I have a question about these network settings.

Hello and hopefully you can help me on this issue. It may be the reason I can't see a once seen PC on my network.

In this Imgur link: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

The PC that shows the top picture just got a clean install of Windows 10 Pro yesterday. Before this clean install, I was able to see the other PC (Bolio Network 15) on the network and share files with it. Now I can't.

The top picture has the Intel Ethernet Connection listed in the Network Connections window. The picture below that is showing what is in the Device manager on the PC that I can't see anymore that is connected to the same modem.
(I tried to line the pictures up correctly and did it twice so I'm leaving the pictures the way they are....sorry for any confusion!)

The third picture down is what is showing in the Device manager on the clean Windows 10 Pro install.
The picture below that is what is shown in the Network Connections window on the computer that I can no longer see on the network.

Are the 2 different Ethernet listings shown the reason I can no longer see the Network 15 PC?
Does the PC with all of the WAN Miniports showing need all of those? Can I remove them? That PC does not have any wireless capabilities.

Both computers are running Windows 10 Pro. Both are connected to the modem via Ethernet cable. Both have Asus mobo's.

Can I just download a new Realtek Internet driver for the Ethernet to the clean installed Windows 10 PC (the one showing the Intel Ethernet Connection) and will that fix the problem of not seeing the other PC on the network?

And I have no idea why the Ethernet Connection showing the Intel Ethernet Connection (2) is disabled....

Let me know if you need more info....
    Thanks,
    Steve in Central Vermont

    Hello,

You lost me at the pictures here, pictures not here.

Here's a video tutorial to help you check all your local network settings.

I suggest you post your pictures individually within your post so you can refer to them individually and get your points across.

And check every computer using this checklist noting that File explorer's Network section is chronically defective so do not base any decisions on what it does not show.

    I am all set folks.
First - no router, just the Xfinity modem ( router built in?).

Second- The reason one of the networks was disabled was because when my son built the PC (that I could no longer see on the network), he installed a modem that had wireless capabilities. That Ethernet card was where the ethernet cable was plugged into on the back of the PC.
I plugged the Ethernet cable into the Asus mobo Ethernet port, enabled the Intel Internet Connection that was disabled, restarted that computer and the next thing I knew was I could now see that PC on the network!!
    Go figure!?!
I went ahead and disabled that Realtek PCIe Family controller, removed it and all is well and working.
Thanks for your input though. I appreciate all of the help and suggestions!.

    Sincerely,
    Steve in Central Vermont
