Intel X540-T1 Windows 10 PRO 22H2 Driver

I have Windows 10 PRO 22H2 19045.2913 installed on a SuperMicro X10SRL-F motherboard (latest BIOS) and drivers. The X540 is in a PCI Gen3 x8 slot ( I set the slot to Gen2 in BiOS and no change). The version 28 (Feb 2022) drivers from Intel install and I am able to surf without issues.

The problem is that I can't get more that 1Gb speed on the card. It is connected to a Netgear 10Gb unmanaged switch at 10Gb with a CAT 6A 14ft cable. I have tested two different cables and no change.

Testing it to an iPerf3 local server (CentOS 7) with another X540 installed. I can't get past 2Gbs using the switch and also using a crossover cable (CAT 6A).

My Internet is 2Gbe/2Gbe. The CentOS gets 2Gb/s up/down no issues. Windows under 1Gb/s.

Also PROSET tool does not recognizes the card.

Intel README.txt says that driver has only be test under Windows 10 PRO

It is on slot 3 Gen 3 X8 ( 5GTs) (card requires PCIe v2.1 (5.0 GT/s) x8 lane )
It was on 7 and made no difference.

There are other threads that a Windows 10 update broke 10GBe NICs.

If I boot CentOS 7 off a USB stick I get 9.x gbs...

Latest Windows 10 upgrade brings 10gbe speed to its knees

Also my other workstation uses same motherboard and NICs, bur runs on CentOS 7...so it is not the Motherboard. I spoke with Supermicro and they agreed.

I also tried the ASUS XG-C100C with Latest ASUS drivers needs PCI-E 3.0 x4 (8GT/s, 5GT/s or 2.5GT/s) with same results.

Why does it say my network is 1g under resource monitoring?

Most likely going by the Router/Modem port.

Now if you run IPerf between two computers with 10GBe adapters on that switch, your only question is does it show the proper speeds in Windows. I have had to disable Large Send Overload on some adapters to even get proper speeds.

I have tried many things including disabling LSO. I called Intel today and opened a case. They will pass all of the info I gave the nice lady on the phone. I have a hunch that they need to update driver to be Windows 22H2 complaint. Crossing fingers.

I installed a X550-T2 in a X4 slot...so no hardware limitations. Same issue. It can't get passed 1GB
