DLing files from browser kills my internet

    DLing files from browser kills my internet


    It happened a few times, right now it just happened using incognito edge browser where i DLed a file from Nvidia
    All the other website tabs just basically froze until the DL was done, the file was DLing at around 3mb, my connection is 30mb

    This is on a new Dell XPS 9710 over wifi, i have the latest windows version and i am the only person in the house using the internet

    Why did this happen?

    I have 25Mbps service and use an 802.11ac Wireless Router with an 802.11ac Wireless adapter and running Win11 Pro. Your download seems to be pretty good, I frequently get downloads that fast but usually slower, depends upon the router from the site to the computer, could be several junctions and the download can only be as fast as the slowest server it's going through. Also involved is the size of the file, large ones start fast then seem to slow down, small ones are quick.

    Just tried firefox and it reduce my page loading on other sites but it didnt kill the internet the way it did with edge browser

CCleaner always detects 1-2GB files to be cleaned from IE. I don't use IE, Edge occasionally so what are these files? Are they possibly Windows update files?
