For Gurus: Whats a Good Spectrum Compatible Wifi Router?

Hi guys.. I need to buy a wifi router soon. I need one thats very budget friendly and whose wifi range can reach 2 TVs for roku in 2 separate rooms about 30 feet away, which is considered close range. Even though thats close range I need one whose wifi is consistent, low latency and high speed for roku. In addition, it must be spectrum compatible, 802.11ax, wifi 6, MU-MIMO and with 4 gigabit lan ports.

    Looking forward to your recommendations!

I have just bought a Asus Router RT-AX82U and the range is unlike anything I have ever had it is so good that my daughter who lives 75 feet in back of me just shares my Internet and has no problem connecting , I highly recommend this router.

I bought a TP-Link AX1500 (Archer AX10) back in June and have been very happy with it. It's connecting well with a Roku in my bedroom that's more than 30 feet away. It's not expensive, but beats costlier routers I've owned. I'm also on Spectrum, but routers really aren't especially dependent. It's the modems that need to meet ISP specifications.

Since a Router sits between the ISP's Modem and the computer most any Router is good as long as it is Gigabit for Ethernet and 802.11ac or ax for the Wireless. I recently changed to a Netgear Nighthawk, a little more expensive than TP-Link. I had a real nice Western Digital but no firmware update for a security issue, still use a Western Digital Gigabit Switch for 8 more Ethernet ports.

Greatly appreciate this recommendation. I'm sure its a great router, but the problem is that its a bit expensive.

Hi! I was actually checking this same router out. I want to place this router in the living room and want its wifi to reach the bedroom which is about 30 feet away which has a wall and door. The wall is only 5 inch think. The door is just a plain old door.

    1) Do you think I'll have any issues streaming roku to the TV in this bedroom?

    2) Do you experience any latency issues?

    3) Do you experience any dropped connections?

No latency issues or dropped connections yet. The signal goes from my den to my bedroom and connects to a Roku with no problems through 4 walls at a distance of about 35 or 36 feet. Never experienced a breakup or trouble getting a Roku channel. I can't promise it will work well in your situation, but it does in mine. Depending on where you purchase it, you could return the router if it didn't work out as well as you want.

3 months ago I bought the RT-AX92U (2 Pack) and yeah, the range and signal stability is just utterly insane with these routers from Asus, and the speed is also impressive at this particular price point... I paid only 279 Euros for the pack.

Once concern is a few reviewers on amazon who bought this router claim MU-MIMO is not installed. Can you confirm that its on your router?
