Router remote access settings?

Those settings allow you to enter your router's setup page from the internet (WAN) side of the router. It does not give access to your network. It gives access to the router's setup page from the internet.

So in other words, it is not a way for a hacker / another person to get access to my network?

They can get into your router and change settings that would then allow them access to your network. You probably have no need to access the router settings remotely from the internet side so just leave it disabled.

That was a good example of how it can be exploited, I have checked "Port forwarding" setting several times, and it is empty

The little dot slider for HTTP is off. I believe that turns off remote access. What choices do you have for the drop down menu for access type? Set that drop down to the most restrictive.

If you want to verify remote access is turned off the go tot he website:
What is my IP Address?

It will display the ip address assigned to your router by your ISP. Then go to a device connected to the internet, but not through your own network. I like to turn off my cell phone WiFi and use it's cellular LTE connection. Go to:
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080 <-replace the xxx with the ip address you got from ip4.me. There should be no connection there, it should timeout. Then try:
https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080 <-again replace xxx with the ip address you got. There should be no connection there either. If either one of those actually connects to your router setup page, then remote access is turned on.
