TP-Link TL-WN722N wireless adapter often keeps disconnecting

I bought TP-Link TL-WN722N adapter and connected the internet via wireless. But the connection isn't stable and when I restart windows 10 the adapter seems offline and not working. I need to unplug and plug the usb cable to get the adapter to work and connect. What can I do about the issue. Sorry for my inadequate English and thanks.

To which computer is it connected - if branded provide the make and full model please
Is it connected USB direct to the computer USB ports or via a hub
Have you ensured the USB port is configured - do not turn off power to this port.

Which version of the TP-Link TL-WN722N have you bought V1, V2 or V3
    V1 does not support 10
    Windows 10 Compatibility for TP-LINK network adapters - TP-Link
The version will be on the box packaging that it came in and on a label on the device
    Download for TL-WN722N | TP-Link United Kingdom

Thanks. An old non branded computer. Q9300 cpu, gigabyte p43 es3g board, 8 gb of ddr2 ram.
The adapter is connected directly to one of the usb ports on the back of the case.
I disabled any power saving features on windows 10 that affects wireless connection.
    The version is 3.20.

I've been experimenting with changing channel number of wlan on the router settings (Huawei HG253s ). I've changed the channel to 11 instead of automatic and it temporarily seemed to work . But the issue still persists.

How far away from the router/modem is the computer and please briefly describe the location setup - different rooms - upstairs for one etc.

Do not forget to make sure that - although you say on anything that effects wireless connection - you have also done that on usb root hub to which the adapter is connected/usb selective suspend in power options or in device manager - power management on usb hub

The router for the fiber internet connection is about 6 meters (18 feet) away. The router is in the living room and the computer is in the bedroom . There are a small bathroom and a small restroom in between. Our house is on one floor only.

    Have you installed this driver
    TL-WN722N(US)_V3_180807_Win
    Download for TL-WN722N | TP-Link

as I am sure it will be later than the driver on the CD
and the problem you have if NOT interference from other 2.4Ghz devices may well be the driver windows 10 updates have installed.

    I installed latest driver.
When I first power on (I mean switching on the electricty) my computer the adapter connects to the router but when I turn off the pc and reboot with power button on the case then the adapter won't connect . Then if I unplug the usb cable from the adapter and plug againg the adapter works this way.
I tried the other usb ports and plugging the adapter to the rear usb port but it's not working. @Macboatmaster

    Thanks.
    I finally solved it.
I entered BIOS and opened Power Management section. Then I enabled ErP support and Acback ( restarting the machine after a powercut ) options. These solved the issue.
    Thanks again.

    Well done
I must be honest and say that I had not thought of ErP in BIOS
