Wifi not working on Lenova H535s

The Wifi on my Lenova desktop H535s has stopped working. Ethernet works OK but no WiFi.
Latest Windows 10 update installed is:

Connectivity (IPv4/IPv6): Connected to Internet / Connected to unknown network

    Name: Local Area Connection* 10
Description: Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter
    Physical address (MAC): 18:cf:5e:55:a1:95

    Physical address (MAC): 1a:cf:5e:55:a1:95
    Status: Not Present
    Maximum transmission unit: 0
    Connectivity (IPv4/IPv6): Disconnected

Have tried reloading all network adapters and resetting network commands (eg netsh winsock reset).
All the drivers are up to date, and have run a Lenova hardware check and all OK.

    Any ideas? Thanks. Robert

    Hello @rnightingall,

Can you please perform the following . . .

Check for ANY Problem Device Errors

[1] Click on this TenForums link => Batch Scripts / Programs.
[2] Goto the heading Find ANY Problem Devices . . .
[3] Download and Run the .bat file named Find_ANY_Problem_Devices.bat.

    If there are NO ERRORS:

You will receive the message NO PROBLEM DEVICES WERE FOUND!, and NO text file is created on the Desktop.

    If there are ERRORS:

There will be a Prob_Devices.txt file created on the Desktop.

    EITHER . . .

Copy & Paste the results into your post using the CODE tags [ click the # and Paste the results inside ].

In your post it will look like this . . .

    Code:
    <<< Results >>>

    OR . . .

Upload the Prob_Devices.txt file => How to Upload and Post Screenshots and Files at Ten Forums.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Paul
Very many thanks! Ran your Find_ANY_Problem_Devices.bat and replied No problem devices found.
Around two years ago on the Lenova forum there were similar probs (no WiFi) reported, and I think it might have been due to a Windows 10 release. I also have a Lenova laptop running under WIN10 with latest WIN release version 20H2, and that laptop works fine.
    Any further ideas? Thks. Robert

PS Also Downloaded Realtek - LAN - Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller on 23 Dec20 (latest version)

Ran Lenova diagnostic scan for Wireless and:
    Diagnostics
    Hardware DiagnosticsOperating System Diagnostics
    Back to Diagnostics Scan page

    Final result status Cancel

What does that mean? Could Wireless card in hardware have become loose?

Ran Network trouble shooter and responded:
Your computer appears to be correctly configured but the device Detected or resource (DNS server) is not responding.
Do you know what that means?
    Thks Robert

Checked WLAN AutoConfig and running and auto, so rthat is OK. Thks. R

Open Services console by typing services.msc into Start Menu search box.
Make sure WLAN AutoConfig is configure to start automatically and started.

Thanks and I did indeed download latest Wireless driver but made no difference.
I will try to uninstall Feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2 and see if that is the cause.
    Many thanks again. Robert

    If you answered the question
What is shown in device manager under network adapters
and check to see if any unknown devices are listed.
    it would help considerably

    Hi
Unable to take a screen shot of device Manager but what it shows is:
    Realtek PCIe family controller
    Wan miniport (IKEv2)
    ditto (IP)
    ditto(IPv6)
    Ditto (L2TP)
    Ditto(Network Monitor)
    Ditto (PPPOE)
    Ditto (PPTP)
    Ditto(SSTP)
    They are all working correctly.
    Thanks your further help. Robert
